Pumpkin Pizza Buns

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk 
- 3/4 cup water 
- 3/4 tbsp instant yeast 
- 1 tbsp sugar 
- 2 tbsp milk powder 
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil 
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt (optional) 
- 2 tsp salt 
- 3 1/2 to 4 cups all purpose flower 
- pizza sauce 
- pepperoni slices 
- mozzarella cheese (shredded or fresh) 
- pepper stems (optional, for stem) 
- Butcherβs twine or oiled string 
Instructions
- Combine milk and water, warming it up in a pan 
- Add yeast and sugar to the mixture. Cover and let it rise for 10-15 minutes or until the yeast becomes puffy. 
- Introduce the oil and yogurt into the mix. Then, gradually add in the flour and milk powder. Sprinkle in 2 tsp of salt. 
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-6 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic 
- Brush the dough with oil, and then set it aside to let it rise until it doubles in size (30-60 minutes). 
- Divide the dough in 16 pieces. Roll each into a small circle. 
- Add a spoon of pizza sauce, some pepperoni slices, and mozzarella cheese. Seal into stuffed balls. 
- Take oiled string and wrap it around the ball, forming a pumpkin shape with 8 sections. Tie a knot at the bottom. 
- Put the pumpkins in a greased tray and let rise for 20 minutes. Brush them with an egg wash. 
- Bake at 180C (350F) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully cut the strings off to avoid tearing the buns.
